Booking and payment
Is it cheaper to book on the hotel’s website?
Yes: -10% with the code THANKYOU, applied in the booking engine on our website.
Can I book without a credit card?
A credit card is required to book online. You can then pay in cash on arrival.
What is the cancellation policy?
It depends on the rate you choose. Flexible rate: free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival, otherwise the first night is charged. Non-refundable rate: cannot be cancelled or changed.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Bancontact, mobile payment and cash.
How much is the city tax?
€4.24 per room per night.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, €100 on arrival (cash, card or bank transfer), refunded on departure if no damage is found.

Do you offer corporate rates?

What time is check-in?
From 14:00. Early check-in is possible on request at info@craves-hotel.com, subject to availability.
What time is check-out?
Until 11:30. Late check-out is possible subject to availability; ask at reception (a supplement may apply).
Can I arrive late in the evening?
Yes, reception is open 24/7.
What do I need to show on arrival?
A valid ID card or passport and a credit card.
Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, free of charge, both before check-in and after check-out.
Which languages does reception speak?
English, French and Dutch.
Can I have a room on a high floor?
On request at info@craves-hotel.com, subject to availability.
The rooms
How many rooms does the hotel have?
75 rooms over 4 floors, including 5 family rooms.
How big are the rooms?
Single room 12 m², double 15 m², triple 20 m², family 50 m².
What is the difference between a double and a twin room?
The twin has two single beds, the double one large bed (queen or king).
What is in the rooms?
Air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, television, telephone and a private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer. Wardrobe in the double and triple rooms.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, all rooms are air-conditioned.
Are the rooms quiet?
Craves is right in the heart of the city centre, a stone’s throw from the Grand-Place, so the streets are lively, especially in the evening. All rooms are air-conditioned, so you can keep the windows closed.
Do the rooms have a bathtub?
33 rooms have a bathtub, the others a shower. Ask for one when booking, subject to availability.
Where are the family rooms?
In the building opposite the main building. It is part of the hotel but stands apart, so families can enjoy more peace and quiet. It is reached by a first flight of stairs, then a lift: let us know when booking if stairs are a problem.
Is a baby cot available?
Yes, free of charge, on request at least 24 hours before arrival.
Do you offer extra beds?
No.
Do you have connecting rooms?
No.
Do you have rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility?
No, our rooms are not equipped for guests with reduced mobility.
Do the rooms have a desk?
No.
Is there a hairdryer?
Yes, in every bathroom.
The hotel
How many stars does the hotel have?
Craves is a 3-star hotel.
When was the hotel renovated?
In 2022, with interiors by Saar Zafrir Design.
Is there a lift?
Yes, 2 lifts in the main building. The family-room building has a lift, reached after a first flight of stairs.
Is the hotel non-smoking?
Yes. In case of a breach, a €100 cleaning fee is charged. An ashtray is available outside the entrance.
Are pets allowed?
No.
Is the Wi-Fi free?
Yes, in all rooms and public areas.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes, a continental buffet, from 07:00 to 10:00 on weekdays and until 10:30 at weekends. €19 per adult, €10 per child.
Restaurant, bar and services
Is there a restaurant in the hotel?
Yes, Le Conteur, on the ground floor: Mediterranean tapas to share. Monday–Thursday 18:00–00:00, Friday–Saturday 18:00–01:00.
Do hotel guests get perks at Le Conteur and Scène?
Yes, as a Craves guest: -15% on your meal at Le Conteur, and your first cocktail at Scène is buy one, get one free. Both venues are also open to the public: booking is recommended.
Is there a bar?
Yes, Scène, a speakeasy bar on the Atrium level. Wednesday 19:00–00:00, Thursday–Saturday 19:00–02:30.
Is there a gym?
No. Basic-Fit (rue Antoine Dansaert) is 300 m away (4 min on foot).
Is there a swimming pool?
No.
Do you offer room service?
No.
Is there a launderette?
There is no laundry service. The Wasbar launderette is 220 m away (3 min on foot).

280 m, or 4 minutes on foot.
What is the nearest railway station?
Brussels Central Station, 600 m away (9 min on foot).
How do I get here from Brussels-Midi station (Eurostar, TGV)?
By tram 3 or 4 to the Bourse stop (about 10 min), then 2 min on foot. Or by train to Brussels Central Station, then 9 min on foot.
What is the nearest metro station?
De Brouckère (lines 1 and 5), 350 m away (5 min on foot).
How do I get here from Brussels Airport?
By train to Brussels Central Station, then 9 min on foot. By taxi: 15 km, 25 to 40 min.
How do I get here from Charleroi Airport?
The Flibco shuttle reaches Brussels in about 55 min, for around €20 per person.
Where can I park?
The hotel has no private car park. Three public car parks less than 5 min away: Interparking Ecuyer (280 m), Brucity (300 m) and Monnaie (400 m). Booking recommended.
Where can I charge an electric car?
Blue Corner charging point at rue Grétry 13, 150 m away. Most public car parks also have charging points.
Where can I hire a bike?
Villo! Bourse station, 170 m away (2 min on foot).
Is there a pharmacy and a cash machine nearby?
